How to Apply
Membership
The Garden Cooperative Nursery School serves children ages 2-5. To be considered for enrollment, children must be at least 2 years old by September 1st of the entering school year.

Attend a visit day and interview

Receive a membership offer in early March
Most spots at The Garden will be occupied by students who apply by the January deadline. Applications submitted after this deadline will be considered only if space allows.

Scholarships
Scholarships are available for families who demonstrate financial need. You must submit both the scholarship application and the main enrollment application to be considered.

Tuition
Tuition is paid monthly, September through July (11 months):

Siblings receive a 10% tuition discount while both children are enrolled. A separate fundraising requirement applies per child.
Schedule
Ages 2 (by Sept 1): 3 days/week, 9:00 am to 12:30 pm
Ages 3 (by Sept 1): 4 days/week, 9:00 am to 12:30 pm, plus 1 extended day with Afternoon Enrichment until 2:30 pm
Ages 4 (by Sept 1): 5 days/week, 9:00 am to 12:30 pm, plus 2 extended days with Afternoon Enrichment until 2:30 pm
Afternoon Enrichment (AE): Held in the classroom with up to 8 children, one teacher, and one rotating workday parent. Follows the same philosophy as the morning program, with a focus on art, science, and activities that build fine motor skills, focused attention, and cooperative play.
Summer School: Offered 3 days/week, 9:00 am to 12:30 pm, throughout July. Families with summer plans may opt out and will not owe workdays that month. Tuition is unaffected, since summer is included in the 11-month annual tuition.

Membership Responsibilities
As a co-op, our community relies on active participation from every family. Membership includes the following responsibilities:
Weekly workday: a hands-on chance to be part of your child's early education
Family job: for example, maintenance, event planning, or program support
Parent education: learn about child development and find support as a parent
Campus care: help keep our school safe and well maintained
Fundraising: pay tuition and participate in our collective fundraising efforts
Celebrate diversity: share your culture, interests, and talents with the school
